This Fantasy Cabin was a study in hard-surface modeling and texturing that I worked on with a few other talented Environment Artists. We wanted to try something new, as our background is primarily working on hand-painted environments and props. This was an exercise that flexed our skills in a new way; I spent my time digging deeper into Substance Designer, exploring how to create intricate, realistic materials.
I was responsible for creating the wood trim, thatched roof material, front door, and props.
Allan Huang sculpted the rock material on the exterior part of the cabin. He also modeled the cabin and placed the foliage in the scene.
